Terms of service

Version 1.3 · 14 September 2026. By setting up Duraro you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use it.

1. What Duraro is

It reads the training and wellness records you permit from Apple Health on your phone or from an intervals.icu account you connect, computes fitness, fatigue and form, and shows you a daily brief and a training plan.

It is free. There is no paid tier, no trial and no payment. Nothing here obliges us to keep it free forever, but any change would come with notice.

2. What it is NOT — read this part

This is not medical advice, and we are not your doctor.

Duraro is a training-analysis tool for healthy adults aged 18 and over who choose to exercise. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a healthcare service. Nothing it shows you is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a clinical opinion, and no clinician is reviewing your data.

It reports numbers derived from your own records — heart rate variability, resting heart rate, fatigue, training load. Those numbers can move for medical reasons it cannot see and will never suggest. A falling HRV can mean a hard week; it can also mean an infection, a heart problem, or something else entirely. The app cannot tell the difference and does not try.

Talk to a doctor before starting or substantially increasing training, and any time something feels wrong. If you have symptoms — chest pain, unusual breathlessness, fainting, an injury that is not settling — stop, and get medical help. Do not wait to see what the app says tomorrow.

Never let this app override your own judgement or a clinician's. If it says train and you feel unwell, you are right and it is wrong. It only knows what your watch told it.

Endurance training carries real risk of injury and, rarely, of serious harm. You take that risk knowingly and it remains yours.

3. Who may use it

You must be at least 18. The service is not for children and we do not knowingly hold a child's data.

You can connect Apple Health on your phone without an intervals.icu account. If you connect intervals.icu, use your own account; your relationship with them and their terms and privacy policy apply.

4. Your account and your key

If you connect intervals.icu:

5. Using it properly

Do not: use it for anyone else's data without their permission; try to reach another person's data; attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service or intervals.icu; or use it in a way that breaks the law.

Do not use it to make decisions for other people. It is built around one person's data and knows nothing about anyone else.

6. Plans and your calendar

If you connect intervals.icu and approve a training block for upload, we write those sessions into your intervals.icu calendar. Nothing is ever written without your explicit approval, and that is enforced in the software rather than left to us to remember. You can remove them at intervals.icu or ask us to roll the block back.

A plan is a suggestion. Follow it, change it, or ignore it.

7. Your data

Handled as described in the privacy notice, which is part of these terms. Your data stays yours. We claim no ownership of your training records, your measurements or anything you write.

You can withdraw consent or ask for erasure at any time — §7 of the notice.

8. Ours

The software, its text and its design are ours and are not transferred to you. You get permission to use the app as intended, and nothing more.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that any figure it produces is accurate.

It depends on the records you permit from Apple Health or intervals.icu. If those are wrong, incomplete or late, so is everything downstream. The app is built to say when it does not know something rather than to guess — but that is a design intention, not a guarantee, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, illness, lost training, missed goals, or any loss that follows on from those — a race entry you could not use, or time off work — arising from your use of the service.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected, and nothing in these terms takes them away.

11. Ending it

You may stop at any time — withdraw consent, ask for erasure, revoke your key, or delete the app. No notice, no reason.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop, we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to get your data out first.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified before they take effect. A change to how your health data is processed is handled through consent, not through a terms update — see the privacy notice §10.

13. Law

Governed by German law.

If you are a consumer living in another EU country, this does not take away the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Otherwise the courts of Germany have jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
